Hello dear bride-to-be,
I am so excited that you are considering me to be part of your special journey in such a big way!
Creating the perfect dress for you, making you feel even more beautiful than you already are, is always such a wonderful experience! I am humbled and honoured at the opportunity of joining in on this amazing adventure. Tiny and intricate details that goes into creating the perfect wedding dress is my speciality, and I look forward to creating something that is you.
Do you wish to know more, or have any questions? Let me know how, I look forward to hearing from you. You can also read a little more about the process below.
Do you want your wedding dress to be made, but have no idea how it works? This is how our process works:
Step One: Book a consultation with Simoné Meyer Bridal Design; I look forward to meeting you and hearing all about your wedding day! Before coming for your consultation I would appreciate it if you would take a moment to fill out my Client Information Form so I can assist you to the best of my ability.
Step Two: At the consultation we will discuss the dress design you have in mind. We will conceptualise the perfect dress for you by looking at your ideas, as well as various other aspects to see what suit your needs best.*Your measurements will also be taken, so be sure to wear clothing that is not too loose or bulky.
Step Three: After accepting our formal quote and the payment of your deposit, we will make a date to go shopping (yay!), where I will assist you with purchasing the fabric for your (soon-to-be) dress. Once your fabric has been purchased you will receive the final sketch of the design in a few days to give you a taste of what is to come.
Step Four: I will design the pattern for your dress, and make a ‘mock-up’. The mock-up is made of fabric that I stock and provide. This is just to ensure that the style and fit is perfect before we continue.
Step Five: The mock-up will now be ready to fit, and all adjustments necessary will be made. *Fitting 1
Step Six: After the fitting of your mock-up, your dress is now in process. The lining of your dress will be fitted at your next appointment. Any final alterations will be made at this fitting. *Fitting 2
Step Seven: All fittings from this point on will be of your final garment. Generally we work on five fittings in total (leaving three fittings for the final garment). Each fitting will be scheduled accordingly. If more fittings are required you will be notified in advance. *Fitting 3-5
*We kindly ask that you bring maximum 2 guests to the consultation and fittings at any given time. Many opinions and ideas can sometimes be overwhelming and confusing, and we really don’t want you to leave our consultation unhappy, confused and overwhelmed!
