The first time I met with Zama, her vibrant and friendly personality really struck me. She is such an upbeat and interesting person, and I think her dress choice reflected her as a person perfectly. When I heard what she had in mind for her dress I got so excited I simply knew this was a dress I had to make! This would be the first time that I would make a dress with feathers, and I was looking forward to doing something completely different than usual. It was such a fun dress to make – hard work, no doubt – but it was totally worth it.
Zama’s dress was made of mainly satin. We covered the entire bodice with the most delicate white corded and beaded lace. The skirt was completely with ostrich feathers, almost 40 meters! We made the skirt to have a train at the back, for an even more dramatic effect. This dress was all about the dram, and the end result was absolutely breath taking!
Zama and Curtis, you both looked amazing on your wedding day. We know that you will have a wonderful life together, filled with love, laughter and many adventures!
Just as a small side note, one of the best things about working with brides is referring them to other great suppliers in the wedding industry. Marizanne from Zanry Jewellery Design and Manufacturing is super talented and she worked with Zama to create her beautiful jewellery. My multi-talented mother in law, Zikma, from ZIKMA created the pretty garter and veil. What an honor to create this beautiful look for Zama on her wedding day with talented people.
