Tersia and Gert got married in the Karoo during August last year, so this post is really overdue! From the moment I met Tersia I was so excited to play such a big role in their wedding day. Her cheerful personality really rubbed off on me, what a blessing!
They had their wedding in on a beautiful winters day, shared with their closest family and friends. Their wedding was all about natural elements; there really is no better place to compliment their plans than the Karoo landscape! They wanted to keep it as intimate and special as possible. I remember Tersia telling me about all the fantastic details they had planned, how excited I was for them! I believe Tersia’s dress really complimented her as a person, and that is always a beautiful thing for me.
Tersia’s wedding dress is made of mainly chiffon and lace. The dress had the most delicate lace sleeves to cover her arms in case the cold weather decided to act out. On the bodice of the dress we used beautifully draped chiffon. We combined that with more of the delicate lace trim to finish off the dress. To round off the look we used chiffon for the skirt to create a soft and feminine look.
As a side note I would just like to add, I think that more brides should consider getting married in the winter. The weather might not always play along, but there is really no reason why you can’t still have a fabulous cozy winter wedding celebration!
Tersia & Gert, you both looked amazing! Thank you for giving me the honour of being a part of your special day. Enjoy the (short) blog post.
PS. I will also never forget the most delicious red velvet cupcakes Tersia brought me – she recently opened a bakery (seriously, the cupcakes were AMAZING!). Dankie Tersia! xx
