Jade and Jaen had their wedding at the lovely Bon Cap in Robertson. I had the privilege to make Jade’s wedding dress. It was such a special journey for me, loving every moment of it.
I always get super excited when a bride comes to me with an idea that I don’t see everyday. Jade was one of those brides who knew exactly what she wanted. She had a modern wedding dress in mind, something completely different to all the other requests I was getting at the time. I looked forward to making her something that she could wear on one of the most special days in her life. There really is something so special about working with a bride, because you get to be such a big part of one of their biggest dreams. What an incredible privilege.
Jade’s dress was made of bridal taffeta with a sweetheart shaped neckline. The bodice had pleats on draped and sewn by hand. A really cool detail we added was the bow in the waist to create a modern and dramatic effect. This worked incredibly well to compliment the simplicity of the dress by creating a little dramatic flair. Another thing that I loved about this dress was the pockets , which I thought was a really cool idea!
Jade and Jaen, I hope that your marriage will always be blessed in abundance. I wish you many happy years together, filled with adventures, love, laughter, patience and understanding.
Lilac Photography did such a spectacular job at photographing their special day by capturing all the special moments so beautifully. I had a blast going through their wedding album, I hope you do too!
