A couple of months ago I had the pleasure of meeting Dehan Engelbrecht. We met at the launch of the new wine tasting deck at Brenaissance. What an exquisite event it was – the atmosphere was filled with such excitement and joy! After formal introductions we started talking, and really hit it off. Soon after we decided to do a styled shoot together.
Dehan is an incredibly talented photographer, and is so much fun to work with. Never a dull moment is a guarantee! Landtscap made their stunning venue available to us. Simoné Meyer Bridal Design made the dresses, and did the styling of the models and the decor.
The concept behind this shoot was to create something a bit different by using greens combined with gold. The idea was also to do the decor on the tables in such a way that it looks extravagant but accessible. We wanted the bride to have the confidence that she would be able to pull this look off.
We used modern elements like gold glitter and sequins, embossing, raw wooden tables and gold foil printing. To really enhance the elegance of this look we combined this with lace wedding dresses and unique details like the ‘cape’ veil. We just love how this idea became so tangible and real in our work.
This is all thanks to the most amazing suppliers we had on board. They were the ones to make all this possible. I just love how Dehan captured all the details so perfectly.
*A list of all suppliers is at the end of this post. Enjoy these beauties!
